Your review got my attention, otherwise I wasn't planning on watching First Cow.

The Homesman was a nice surprise, but Tommy Lee Jones never lets us down when it comes to westerns. If you haven’t seen The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada you definitely should as Jones stars in it and also directed the film.

I don’t really like the Coens, but as far as modern western go No Country for Old Men is an excellent example of a bleak, cruel, and violent adaptation of a McCarthy novel — probably the best that’s ever been made.
