Unfortunately, all of this is true.

When I saw the Force of Nature’s trailer, I was wondering if I time traveled without knowing it, or Hollywood simply can’t give up on producing B movies, which look like were made in the 90s.

Force of Nature does look cheap and awful.

Gibson’s talent is undeniable, especially as a director. He is an icon, but in the last decade, he worked hard to destroy his self-image. However, we, as blindsided fans, put that aside maybe way too often to watch his latest stuff, hoping that at least his on-screen persona stayed intact.

When I’ve seen Blood Father in 2016 (which was a ton of fun, I recommend it), I thought there is still hope that Gibson finds good B movies. And there is… but less and less as time passes.
