This type of article is a sweet spot for me, so thanks for writing about Seagal. He was a phase for me, as a kid, but then JCVD came and kicked the hell out of everybody and smiled the coolest way possible.

I tried rewatching ‘Nico’ many years ago, Seagal’s first hit, but I couldn’t finish it. These movies remind me of a time watching kickass action films with my dad because he was a man. He still is. But I think, some memories better stay untouched, so I don’t risk to revisit Steven’s legacy because it’ll be heartshattering to realize that even his good films are crap or mediocre. Maybe one day… I’ll turn the nostalgia button at max volume, and then dive into observing bone-breaking emotionless faces for the hell of it.
