This is all nice and good advice, but let me ask you something Cristian:

Let’s say someone uses these techniques to make me a reader of his stuff. So, he engages with my writings, he always replies to my comments, and, we even get to talk on other social media sites. I like him as a person. However, his writings and niches are totally out of my interest. I don’t read them, although I support the person because I like him, but the way he writes, or what he writes about, is just not interesting me at all.

And if I communicate that to him that’s when it all gets messy and he might even get offended while that’s not my intention at all. This happens a lot to me, especially on Medium. Do you have any insights for a situation like that?
