The correct trangressors in real life, not necessarily on a scripted show. ST is a horror series, not a sociodrama. We're allowed to question those values and "sacred beliefs," and many movies and TV shows in pop culture do that, but this one in particular doesn't. And that's fine. But I wouldn't say that Stranger Things is responsible for "enabling the abuse to continue."

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally with you on that opinion. It's an issue that doesn't get addressed as often as it should, but it's not this show's job or responsibility to highlight, dissect, or analyze that problem. It's mainstream entertainment mostly aimed at a younger audience. Its goals are simply different.
