I’m exactly the person you described in this piece. I find it really hard to focus solely on breathing, and regular meditation often hurts my brain and makes me more anxious and frustrated. I just simply can’t quiet my thoughts.
I’m going to try all the techniques you listed here – I especially like the idea of Morning Pages. I do journaling regularly when I can’t sleep or when I have so many thoughts I feel like I’m suffocating in them. So, I think this type of journaling could beneficial.
