I was considering Cardiff a few years ago, but I gotta get out of the UK. I just can't stand this weather anymore, and I also want to learn a new culture and meet people with an entirely different mindset and lifestyle. My plan is to move to Gozo (Malta). I've been there about 1.5 year ago, and it's a tiny island with a gorgeous scenery, friendly people, and basically everybody speaks English.

I just need to establish a proper financial security to pull that off (the job opportunities aren't great there). But I agree with you, a small town is what I need combined with community building. "Here" isn't ideal for me anymore, but the rules still apply wherever I go.
