I totally get what you're talking about. My only "luck" is that my parents don't speak English. Still, my father reads almost every article of mine that I post on Facebook with a translator he has on his phone, lol.
I told him that wouldn't necessarily translates accurately yet he doesn't seem to care. But yes, there were some tough and really personal thoughts he read from me and then he questioned me about them. Not in a bad way, but still, that affects my writing in the future.
Nevertheless, I think it's worth it long term, and you should be proud that you were brave enough to talk about these very delicate and personal topics. I believe that generally helps anyone who's struggling with certain feelings and thoughts. So, anyway, keep going and keep writing, Kayla.
