I think we can unanimously say that How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a crap film. It isn’t compelling or entertaining, really.

But I’m glad that I read your piece about it because it’s good. It put me in the holiday spirit a little, which is harder and harder every year.

Carrey was and is great, but I think he lost himself in many ways after the 90s. He needed some time to rediscover the silliness in him. If you haven’t watched Showtime’s Kidding with him in the lead, I highly recommend it. It’s the best thing he did for a very long time.
