I loathe every character on Succession, and yet somehow I watched two seasons of it and enjoyed it very much.

The White Lotus isn't as vile or comtemptible - at least not yet - and I find it amusing. I don't normally watch TV shows about rich people. but White's series has something special in it. For one, the hypnotic and surreal score makes me feel like I'm on ketamin.

Over time, after seeing the second episode, the show will reveal more of the hotel's staff and that's when we, the audience, come into the picture to slightly relate to some characters at least.

Also, the location is outworldly, which helps me ignore the fact that I haven't been on a proper holiday for four years or so.
