I had a conversation about this a couple years ago with a childhood friend of mine. He said that our parents’ gens and generations are unbelievably sturdy and lucky at the same time. They get away with smoking, drinking, eating garbage while we already suffer from a load of disorders and a weak immune system. Even with eating healthier and better food, excercising, and giving up bad habits our odds are not looking good. Although I must say we started to self-destruct way too young – and that comes with a price we’ll have to pay.
I think you’ll be alright, and considering your parents at this point, you probably got the good gens as well, so living up to be a 100 maybe isn’t so unrealistic of a goal.
And you already know what you shouldn’t do. The living bad examples are there to warn you.
