Hm, it’s an interesting and never-ending debate. Most of my pieces are taking off after a week if Google finds them. If not, they most likely sink either way. The Medium algorithm doesn’t help much.

On Twitter, I totally agree with the quantity-first approach. You need to feed the algorithm constantly then it will favor you. In my experience, spending a few days being active on the platform will take you back to the ‘top’ and won’t overwhelm you. I can’t do the same on Medium – unless I write 200–300 word blog posts every day, which I don’t really want to.

I’m taking a break now, anyway. I haven’t published anything in two weeks. We’ll see how it’s gonna be once I get back into it.
