I've seen this film a long time ago, and I should probably rewatch it - as you highligted how great Ford was in it.

Also, Peter Weir's filmography had a huge affect on me too as an adolescent. Recently, I rewatched 'Master and Commander', which has a special place in my heart. Although, I must say that the first experience watching that movie as a kid was immense, now that somewhat lessened, but boy oh boy what a fantastic adventure.

Crowe and Bettany are excellent.

Anyway, looking forward to read more of your pieces about such films.
