Couldn’t agree more. As a film and TV critic, I kinda feel obligated to do a “best of” list at the end of the year because it’s an expectation. But I enjoy these less and less every year, and I’m even less interested in others’ lists. But your idea of making a different kind of list, a more personal one, is quite appealing. I might do that this year — if I can make myself to do one at all. Haha.
